The DMS Gift Card Blitz has become a tradition to support DMS families in need, a fact that is especially highlighted around the holidays. We are hopeful that with the generosity of our staff, students, and community members we can support many grateful DMS families over the holidays.
With the holiday season quickly approaching, we are reminded of the needs of others. From November 3-December 14, we are having a “Gift Card Blitz”, where we are inviting students and staff to bring in gift cards of any dollar domination. All gift cards/monetary donations can be submitted to the Main Office or your child’s homeroom teacher. These will be collected and distributed to DMS families in need before the winter break. Gift cards for everyday needs (Dollarama, Walmart, Giant Tiger etc.) are appreciated as it gives families the autonomy to purchase necessities such as food, clothing, and hygiene products of their choice for their family.
If you do not have an opportunity to purchase a gift card but would still like to contribute, we will gladly accept monetary donations. To make donating easy, you can make a monetary donation through SchoolCash Online by clicking on the link https://anglophonewest.schoolcashonline.com/ or you are welcome to drop off cash or cheque to the Main Office.
Reinforcing charitable values, encouraging support and participation, and showing empathy towards others demonstrates to students that they are part of a larger community. As members of that community, they have the responsibility to seek out opportunities to help those in need. This is one such way.
Thank you in advance for supporting this initiative.
