Get ready, because FRIGHT WEEK IS TAKING OVER DMS NEXT WEEK!
Our Student Leadership Team has been working hard behind the scenes to put together a week full of school spirit, spooky surprises, and some exciting activities for our students (and staff)!
We would LOVE to see as many staff members as possible getting involved throughout the week. Whether you’re dressing up, coordinating outfits with colleagues, or encouraging your students to participate, let’s make this a fantastic week for our Wildcats!
FRIGHT WEEK THEME DAYS
Monday, October 26 – Wildcats Gone Plaid
Dig out your favourite flannel or plaid and kick off Fright Week in style!
Tuesday, October 27 – Double Trouble Day
Find your work bestie, coordinate your outfits, and come dressed as twins! Bonus points for getting an entire department involved!
Wednesday, October 28 – Jersey Day & Anything But a Water Bottle
Represent your favourite sports team AND get creative with your water container. We can’t wait to see what everyone comes up with!
Thursday, October 29 – Blackout Day
We’re going all black! Dress in black from head to toe as we get ready for our Blackout Fright Dance!
Friday, October 30 – Costume Day
End the week with your best Halloween costume! We would love to see some creative staff costumes (and maybe even a few group costumes)!
SPOOKY SODAS ARE COMING!
Our Student Leadership Team is also introducing Spooky Sodas, available on Thursday, October 29, during students’ eating time!
For $5 each, students (and staff!) can choose from three Halloween-inspired flavours:
- Witches Brew – Apple
- Vampire Bite – Cherry
- Candy Corn Crush – Orange
Orders will be available through Cashless Schools beginning Friday, October 23, and closing Wednesday, October 28, at 3:00 PM.
After being such a HUGE hit last year, our Haunted Classroom is making its return! Students attending the dance will have the opportunity to brave the haunted classroom for just $1 admission.
Our student leaders are excited to bring this experience back, and we’re looking forward to another great evening!
We know how busy things can get, but these are the moments that make middle school memorable for our students.
We would love to see staff embracing the theme days, getting creative, and helping us build excitement throughout the building. A little friendly competition between classrooms, departments, or grade levels wouldn’t hurt either!
Let’s fill the hallways with plaid, twins, jerseys, costumes, and plenty of Wildcat spirit!
